Rougemont School (which I attended for 12 years) had a slogan of: A School for Life . Although, if I was marketing it, maybe I’d run with the more direct path:
“The difference between Barrister and Barista”

I say that, and yet I hear that quite recently a teacher asked the class the following:
“How many people don’t know what ignorant means?”
Half the class put their hands up.

In other words, the very word that means ‘not to know’, from the Greek word ‘gnosis’ – knowledge – was not known.

Maybe I’ll have to rethink that strapline.
