Once you have a theme, you begin to collect ‘items’ related to a scene – everything you read, watch and think can coalesce around it.
Recently, I was reading an article about comedian Tim Vine and it had the phrase ‘comedy in utero’ and it instantly connected to the theme around a ‘pregnant pause’, to name just one.
Here comes the one liner…
Would it be comedy in utero if I wrote a joke about a pregnant pause?
