This picture sits on the wall of the Dead Canary.
When I first saw it, I thought it was ‘real’ i.e. an actual picture of people who were in the temperance movement – which encouraged sober living.
It turns out, it’s not ‘real’. What I mean is, it’s a picture that is mocking the temperance movement in the early 1900s, but what I find interesting is that it is from the 1900s – and a lovely example of someone getting creative to make their point.
