If you enjoy beautiful landscape scenes, +Alistair Nicol makes excellent photos around the Charleston, SC area and beyond. He has a love for the natural world, especially the ocean and mountains. Here is a link to one of his most recent photos.
Jan H. Andersen
+Jan H. Andersen is a master of portrait photography. His work is a pleasure to look at. Not only does Jan make portrait photos, he is also involved with stock photos and conceptual art. A quote from his profile page, “Addicted to the beauty of life and death and the emotional moments in between.” Take a look at the creativity of this photo.

HERE, NOW, ALWAYS
from Pema Chödrön’s book: Taking the Leap: Freeing Ourselves from Old Habits and Fears, page 51
This is a work in progress, a process of uncovering our natural openness, uncovering our natural intelligence and warmth. I have discovered, just as my teachers always told me, that we already have what we need. The wisdom, the strength, the confidence, the awakened heart and mind are always accessible, here, now, always. We are just uncovering them. We are rediscovering them. We’re not inventing them or importing them from somewhere else. They’re here. That’s why when we feel caught in darkness, suddenly the clouds can part. Out of nowhere we cheer up or relax or experience the vastness of our minds. No one else gives this to you. People will support you and help you with teachings and practices, as they have supported and helped me, but you yourself experience your unlimited potential.

Classical Music Community
We all know that Google+ is great for new indie musicians who want to get known via Hangouts. At the same time, there are many people who enjoy classical music as well. So, this week I would like to introduce you to a community that is dedicated to classical music: Classical Music
There are sections from Opera, Chamber Music, Discussion, to Music History, where +Simona AN regularly posts “On this Day” in music history and introduces interesting composers, performers and conductors.
So if you love classical music, want to broaden your range or just find some old favorites, check out the community Classical Music. And to help you #BounceInYourChair, here is my own recent post with Ravel’s Bolero.

Time Zone confusion in Events
In case you were wondering why the Events Tool inside Google Plus has stopped showing the date and time from YOUR perspective… I’m afraid you’ll have to keep wondering for now.
But we do now know that the current situation is not a bug, per se… but is “Intentional”. So it would be good to get used to doing our own translation of times to our own time zone. Here’s a link to a site that might be helpful here. Use it to create another link to include with your future Events (unless or until this changes back): http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedform.html
Here is the post where I explain what has happened.
Breaking News: Turn off sharing of Communities posts on your profile
We now need not worry about sharing posts to our Communities too often because we have been given the option to display or NOT display our Community activity on our public Profiles!
B Corporation is now getting active here on Google+ with their own page: +B Corporation. This group works on three paths to helping entrepreneurs build a new economy. They certify B Corps to meet rigorous social and environmental standards; they operate GIIRS, a ratings agency and analytics platform for impact investors; and they work to pass legislation for new corporate form. To date, 12 states have passed laws for Benefit Corp Legislation. Thanks for that heads up on this, +Zack Mellette.
Interface, Inc. is an impressive company founded by Ray Anderson, a true pioneer in sustainable business. The company just announced that it is now partnering with a nonprofit organization called the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) to source a new supply of the resins for its carpet tiles. What is this new source of plastic resin? Discarded fishing nets that have washed up on the shores of the Philippines. This Net Works program works in local communities to organize people in scouring beaches to source the nets, and will hopefully soon expand to other places around the world. These for-profit/non-profit partnerships represent an exciting opportunity for businesses to expand their value-creation networks beyond traditional suppliers and distributors. Thanks to Richard Brubaker for catching this story.
Social Media – Quick tips for Social Best Practices
by +Elaine Lindsay
You never know where you will meet that next great inspiration, or hear a fabulous suggestion that you can implement in your business or life. Hangouts and communities offer more ways to meet and greet and learn from new folks.
Today in social, I got a couple of phenomenal tips from my guests on my Business Banter+ show. I would like to share one of them about ‘Showing Up’.
Social is not just online, and with that in mind +Nadja Piatka says never let an opportunity slip past you by NOT ‘showing up’. Be sure to go to those networking events, impromptu coffee meetings etc., you never know what can transpire.. So keep ‘Showing up’ and reap the benefits. This means great hangouts and online trainings too.
